According to the report, Shyam Das Prabhu had gone to meet Chinmay Prabhu, who was in jail, from where he was arrested without a warrant. ISKCON Kolkata’s vice-president and spokesperson Radharaman Das said about Shyam Prabhu’s arrest on Friday, “Another Brahmachari Shri Shyam Das Prabhu was arrested by the Chittagong Police today.” However, there is no news about this in the Bangladesh media. Due to this, a state of confusion prevails. On the other hand, 47 people were arrested in the last 24 hours while illegally entering India from Bangladesh. Most of them are said to be Hindu and Muslim laborers. These people had tried to enter India illegally by crossing the border with the help of brokers. When ISKCON was refused to be banned, fundamentalists created a ruckus. On the other hand, fundamentalist groups created a huge ruckus on Friday after the Dhaka High Court in Bangladesh refused to ban ISKCON. After Friday prayers, lakhs of Muslims demonstrated in mosques across the country. The biggest demonstrations took place in the capital Dhaka and Chittagong. The protesters called ISKCON a ‘Hindu extremist organization’ and a ‘radical and anti-national group’ and demanded an immediate ban on this organization.
