On November 29, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s father Joseph Prabhu passed away. The actress shared the news of her father’s death in an emotional manner on social media. Meanwhile, a recent interview of Samantha is in the headlines, in which she talked about her relationship with her father. Samantha had told that her father often used to tell her that she is not smart, which had a deep impact on her. Samantha had recently said in an interview to Galata India, “Since childhood, I had to fight for validation. I think most Indian parents are like this. They think they are protecting you, they say that you are not as smart as you think. My father told me that you are not smart. The standard of Indian education is such that even you get the first rank. Further Samantha said, I have believed for a long time that I am not really smart. I am not good. So when my first movie Ye Maaya Chesaave released and it became a blockbuster, suddenly people were shouting praises, but I was still fighting for validation. Fighting for someone to come and say something nice to me. There was a shower of praises and I still didn’t know how to accept it. Because I was not used to it. Samantha added, there are two types of success. Either you think of yourself as God or you go into the darkness and keep thinking that you don’t deserve this praise and love. That’s what happened to me. I was scared that people would wake up and find out that I am not as cool or talented as they think. I was struggling with that insecurity that I have to do something better, I have to look good so that I can be worthy of praise. It made me go through a whole cycle. It took me a long time to forget everything that I was told in my childhood. It took me 10-12 years to recover from this. Samantha further said that it took her a long time to understand that she is not perfect and cannot become one, but not being perfect is also not bad. Samantha’s father passed away on 29 November; the actress shared this information by posting on social media. She wrote, ‘Until we meet again, Papa’. Along with this, the actress also added a broken heart emoji.
