In the TV industry, rumours and discussions sometimes become a part of the actors’ lives. Recently, there were many rumours about Anuj Kapadia of ‘Anupama’, i.e. Gaurav Khanna leaving the show. On these rumours, Gaurav said in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar that he never paid attention to these discussions. I have no interest in messing up When Gaurav Khanna was asked about the rumours of a dispute with the show’s lead actress Rupali Ganguly, he said, ‘When actors leave the show one after the other, it becomes a big topic of discussion. People always believe that everyone is leaving because of one person. But I cannot say much on this, because everyone has their own thinking and understanding. If someone leaves, then he himself knows what is right and what is wrong. I always stay away from rumours and negativity. My job is to do my work with all my hard work and dedication until the director says ‘cut’. Everything else is secondary. The job of actors is to act only, not to be a part of meaningless discussions. There are some actors who get pleasure from these rumors, who promote these things to bring themselves in the limelight. But I am a little different. I work and then quietly go on my way. I have no interest in getting into trouble, I just focus on my profession. Anuj Kapadia’s character grew from a three-month cameo to three years. Gaurav told that the character of Anuj in ‘Anupama’ started as a three-month cameo, but due to the love of the audience it grew to three years. It is a female-centric show, but it was very special for Gaurav to get so much love for the male character. Now I am also looking towards OTT projects ‘When I started playing the character of Anuj, I got a lot of love. It was a big thing for me that a male character got so much love in a show like ‘Anupama’. However, Rajan sir recently told me that Anuj is not needed in the story right now and asked me to focus on a new project. I have always tried to play my character in a new way. Now I am also looking at OTT projects. There are very good and different work opportunities there. This will give me a chance to test myself as an actor in a new way. Fame goes away one day; hard work and honesty are always remembered Gaurav Khanna also expressed his views on social media and trolling. He said, ‘There are advantages in the world of social media, but it also brings disadvantages. But I never consider trolling bad, because all this is a part of work. The most important thing for me is how professional I am in my work, and whether I am able to give everything that the audience and producers expect from me. I believe that fame goes away one day, but the hard work and honesty of an artist always remains in the hearts of the people.’
