Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected Donald Trump’s demand for an immediate ceasefire. Zelensky says that unless we get security guarantees, we will not accept the ceasefire. Our war with Moscow will not end just by signing a piece of paper. In a video posted on Telegram, Zelensky said – War should not be endless, but peace should be permanent and reliable. Permanent peace is needed to protect Kiev from Russia. Which Russia will not be able to end in just a few years, which it has done many times before.
The Ukrainian President says that the war has devastated Ukraine, thousands of people have died and millions have fled the country. Russia has dragged us into the war, and it is becoming an obstacle in the way of peace. Our Western allies should not sit blindly against Russian occupation. We will accept only that agreement which will bring peace to our country for a long time. Trump will cut aid to Ukraine Earlier, Trump had said in an interview to NBC News that his government would cut the aid given to Ukraine. Trump once again claimed that he can stop the Ukraine war in some time. However, he did not give any details about it. In a social media post, Trump demanded Ukraine and Russia to immediately start a ceasefire and dialogue. He wrote – Many lives and families are being ruined. If this war continues, it can be a very big and very bad thing. The matter will happen when Ukraine gives up claim on four areas Russia accused Ukraine of stopping the ceasefire. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said – Ukraine has refused to negotiate.
