In the police investigation, the miscreants who kidnapped comedian Sunil Pal are from Bijnor. The accused were identified as Lavi Pal and Arjun Karnawal, residents of Bijnor. Meerut police identified the accused by scanning more than 100 CCTVs of the city. Police has also detained the taxi driver who brought Sunil Pal from Delhi. The Meerut Crime Branch team reached Chamrapeda village in Bijnor Kotwali area of Lavi Pal and Arjun Karnawal late on Monday night. About 50 jawans conducted a search operation in several villages. More than 6 youths have been detained. This police action has created a stir in Bijnor. No police officer is ready to say anything in this matter. Investigation revealed that 19 days ago, the accused had kidnapped comedian Mushtaq Khan in the name of an event and the miscreants had taken ransom. Mushtaq has registered a kidnapping case against Arjun and Lavi in Bijnor on Monday. The police team worked out all day. On Monday, December 9, 10 police teams searched the CCTV footage from the highway to Begumpul. According to comedian Sunil Pal, he was invited to an event in Haridwar on the night of 2 December. Sunil Pal reached Delhi from Mumbai by flight. Sunil Pal was kidnapped between Delhi and Meerut. The kidnappers brought Sunil Pal to Meerut. He was kept in Meerut blindfolded. A ransom of Rs 8 lakh was demanded by calling friends. The entire ransom amount was ordered online. The money was transferred online from Sunil Pal’s mobile to the jewellers’ accounts. After committing the crime, the miscreants fled leaving Sunil Pal on the road. According to Sunil Pal, 16 days ago, a young man named Anil called and introduced himself as the director of an event company. He asked Sunil to come to an event in Haridwar. For this, some amount was also transferred to Sunil Pal. When Sunil reached Delhi on December 2, a car was sent by the event company to take him to Haridwar. On the way, when they stopped at a dhaba, three youths approached him posing as his fans. One youth told him that he had bought a new car. Then when they asked about the ATM card, I said that I do not have a card. The criminals told me to call my wife and ask for money. On this, I told them – do not call home. They will get worried. I talk to friends and ask for money.’ Sunil Pal said – 20 thousand rupees were also given to me for the return ticket. Sunil Pal further said – On December 3, the miscreants asked for 8 lakh rupees as ransom online. After getting the money, the miscreants gave me 20 thousand for the flight ticket. After this, I was left in Lalkurti police station area. The matter came to light when the account was seized. Here, as soon as Sunil Pal reached Mumbai, the police there interrogated him. He told the whole story. After this, Mumbai Police seized those 2 accounts in which the kidnapper had asked for money. On December 5, jeweler businessman Akshit Singhal went to deposit money in Axis Bank. The bank manager told him that your account has been frozen on the complaint of Maharashtra Police. No transaction can be done from your account. Then the whole matter came to light. Money deposited through online transaction in 4 times. Akshit told during interrogation – I have a firm named New Radhe Lal Ram Avtar Saraf in Jawahar Quarter. On December 3, at 12 noon, two young men came to the shop. They asked to show gold chain and coins. While giving 10 thousand rupees, the young men said that you get both the coins and chain packed. We will deposit the rest of the money online in your account. Then without taking the chain and coins, both of them took the account number of the firm and left. 50 thousand rupees were transacted in the firm’s account at 1:35 pm. Then 80 thousand at 2:12 pm, 50 thousand at 2:18 pm and 50 thousand rupees at 4:17 pm came in the account. A total payment of 2 lakh 30 thousand rupees was made. Akshit further said – After this, sent the screenshots of the transaction on WhatsApp. At 6 pm, both the young men reached the shop. They liked 2 gold coins of 10 grams each and a chain of 7.240 grams. The bill for all three was Rs 2,25,500. The youth got the bill made in the name of Sunil Pal by giving his Aadhar card and PAN card. He took away the remaining 4500 rupees from the amount paid online. I received a call on my mobile at around 8:17 pm. The caller introduced himself as an officer of Mumbai Police Santacruz Police Station. He said that the amount transferred to your account has been done as ransom money. I told him the whole story of the purchase of jewellery. On this, the caller asked me to give the transaction ID and the numbers of both the youths. I informed the Lalkurti police station in-charge about this. The police station in-charge told me not to share anything. Such fraud is going on these days. When the account was seized, the whole matter came to light. Similarly, these two miscreants bought jewellery worth 4 lakh 15 thousand from Akash Ganga Jewellers. Its payment was also made by using Sunil Pal’s Aadhar card and PAN.
