I first practiced with the tanpura of Meerut: Singer Shankar Mahadevan said I will always be indebted to this city of revolution

Famous singer and music composer Shankar Mahadev arrived at Meerut Mahotsav on Wednesday late evening. In a special conversation, Shankar Mahadevan said that he has a concert in Meerut today. I am very grateful to the people of Meerut for inviting me. I have a deep connection with Meerut. I practiced for the first time with the tanpura made here. I will always be indebted to this city of revolution. Shankar said that he will go to Prayagraj Mahakumbh in the new year. He will perform on January 16. Shankar also hummed the song Chalo Kumbh Chalen. Shankar Mahadevan said that the song Breathless gave him recognition. Shankar said that music connects to the soul. We should move with change. Mahadevan told that he has sung songs in 10 languages. He has sung more South Indian songs than Hindi. I am seen more as a composer and singer. Shankar said that he wants to give the mantra of Invest in Knowledge to the youngsters. Work with patience. One day the switch of God turns on. Whatever work you do, do it with full dedication. He said that today people become stars overnight but being an overnight star doesn’t mean that your music is very good. Become an overnight star but only a constant approach takes you ahead. Your identity is made from your work of 30-40 years. Don’t lose your originality…that is your identity. Shankar Mahadevan said that invest in knowledge. Learn from everyone. Learn every form of music. Don’t lose your originality. Originality is your identity. Padmashri Shankar Mahadevan said that there is a way of doing a remix. If the remix is done in a good way then it becomes a different thing. But the way should be good. He told that he runs the world’s biggest music academy for the last 15 years. There are music academies in 90 countries. He said that the music of a Marathi film has been launched. Shankar Mahadevan said that we are travellers, we perform everywhere. He told that he has been composing for 30 years.
