Mumbai’s Kamya conquers Mount Vincent in Antarctica: World’s youngest female mountaineer to conquer the highest peaks of seven continents

Kamya Karthikeyan (17) of Mumbai has become the youngest mountaineer (female category) in the world to conquer the highest peaks of all seven continents. She achieved this feat on 24 December by conquering Mount Vincent in Chile, Antarctica, along with her father, Army Commander S Karthikeyan. The height of Mount Vincent is 4 thousand 892 meters i.e. 16 thousand 50 feet. It is located in the southern part of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range. Kamya is a 12th class student at Navy Children School in Mumbai. She has conquered the highest peaks of other 6 continents before Mount Vincent. Kamya created a new record by climbing Mount Everest on 23 May this year. She became the youngest Indian mountaineer to conquer the world’s highest peak from Nepal. Kamya is also the second youngest female mountaineer in the world to climb Mount Everest. She climbed Mount Aconcagua at the age of 12. Kamya climbed Mount Aconcagua at the age of 12.
