A day before the budget, today i.e. on January 31, the Sensex closed at 77,500 with a gain of 740 points. Nifty also gained 258 points, it closed at 23,508. At the same time, BSE Smallcap closed at 49,958 with a gain of 899 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 rose and 6 fell. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 44 rose and 7 fell. In the NSE sectoral index, the consumer durables sector saw the highest gain of 2.44%.
Mixed trading in Asian markets Yesterday the market was bullish Earlier yesterday i.e. on January 30, the Sensex closed at 76,759 with a gain of 226 points. Nifty also gained 86 points, it closed at 23,249. Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 18 were up and 12 were down. Power and FMCG stocks were up. Whereas IT and auto stocks were down.
