The defamation case going on for the last 5 years between Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar ended on Friday. The actress said in her statement filed in Bandra Court, Mumbai, ‘I apologize for the inconvenience caused to him (Javed) because of me.’ Javed had filed a defamation case against the actress in 2020. Actually, the actress had said in an interview, ‘Javed had asked her to compromise with Rakesh Roshan and his family during the film Krrish 3.’ During that time there was a controversy about Kangana and Hrithik’s affair. Kangana shared a story on the social media platform Instagram. Kangana wrote, ‘Today Javed ji and I have settled the defamation case. Javed ji is very nice and he has also agreed to write songs for my next film as a director.’ Kangana said – she will not give such a statement in future. The hearing went on for an hour in Bandra court. During this time both were present in the court. Ranaut’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui and Akhtar’s lawyer Jai Kumar Bhardwaj presented arguments. The settlement was done through a mediator. Ranaut said, ‘The statement was given at that time due to a misunderstanding. I take it back.’
Siddiqui said, ‘We were looking for mediation for a long time. We also shared drafts with each other. Finally, we settled the matter. There was no problem, just the words had to be fixed, which was done today. We prepared the draft, signed it and both the cases were withdrawn today.’ What is the whole matter?
