WPL- Delhi beat Mumbai by 9 wickets: Capitals reached the top of the points table; Captain Meg Lanning scored a fifty

In the 13th match of Women’s Premier League (WPL) Season-3, Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets. With this win, Delhi reached the top of the points table, the team pushed Mumbai to the second position. Captain Meg Lanning scored a fifty from Delhi. Delhi chose to bat on Friday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Mumbai scored 123 runs losing 9 wickets. Delhi achieved the target in 14.3 overs at the loss of only 1 wicket. Not a single fifty was scored from Mumbai
Mumbai Indians, who came to bat first after losing the toss, lost their first wicket in the sixth over. Yastika Bhatia was out after scoring 11 runs. From here Hayley Matthews 22, Nat Siver Brunt 18, Harmanpreet Kaur 22, Sajeevan Sajna 17 and Amelia Kerr were out after scoring 17 runs. 4 batsmen from Mumbai could not score more than 6 runs. Shefali was out after scoring 43 runs off 28 balls. Lanning hit a fifty, she along with Jemima Rodriguez led the team to victory in the 15th over. Lanning scored 60 and Jemima scored 15 runs. Amanjot Kaur got the only wicket from Mumbai. Delhi on top, Bangalore on third place. By defeating Mumbai, Delhi Capitals registered their fourth win in 6 matches this season. The team reached the top with 8 points. Mumbai is at second place with 6 points after its second defeat in 5 matches. Bengaluru is at third, UP at fourth and Gujarat at fifth place.
