The family dispute that started in the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is now increasing. After the rift between Mayawati and her nephew Akash Anand, she is not getting along with her brother Anand Kumar either. Mayawati removed her nephew Akash Anand from the post of National Coordinator 3 days ago. After this, his father Anand Kumar was given the responsibility. Randhir Beniwal, a resident of Saharanpur, has been given the responsibility of National Coordinator. Mayawati said- Now Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam and Randhir Beniwal, both will work under my direction as the National Coordinator of the party. Earlier, Akash’s father-in-law and then he were expelled from the party. First Akash Anand was stripped of his succession, then expelled from the party. Two days ago, Mayawati had expelled her nephew Akash Anand from the party. She said – Akash had to show his maturity by repenting, but the reaction Akash gave is not political maturity. He has become selfish, arrogant under the influence of his father-in-law. A day before this, on March 2, the BSP supremo had removed Akash from all the posts of the party. Akash was declared successor twice in 15 months, but was removed both times. He was first made the successor on December 10, 2023. On May 7, 2024, all responsibilities were taken away due to misrepresentation. On June 23, 2024, Akash was again made the successor and also given the responsibility of National Coordinator. But on March 2, 2025, all the responsibilities were taken away from him again. On March 3, he was expelled from the party. Akash entered politics in 2017 Akash Anand was first seen with Mayawati in a public meeting in Saharanpur in 2017. After this, he was continuously working for the party. In 2019, he was made the National Coordinator. This decision was taken when the alliance of SP and BSP broke after the Lok Sabha elections. For the first time in the 2022 Himachal Assembly elections, Akash Anand’s name came in the list of star campaigners. Akash has studied Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London. Akash is married to Dr. Pragya, daughter of former BSP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Siddharth. Ashok Siddharth- expelled from the party 20 days ago, accused of factionalism Mayawati expelled nephew Akash’s father-in-law Ashok Siddharth and his close aide Nitin Singh from BSP 20 days ago i.e. on 12 February. This action was taken on factionalism and indiscipline in the organization. The BSP chief had said- Dr Ashok Siddharth and Nitin Singh, who were in charge of the southern states, were doing factionalism in the party even after warning. They are expelled from the party with immediate effect for being involved in anti-party activities. Ashok Siddharth is a doctor by profession. After leaving his job, he joined BSP in the year 2008. Mayawati made him MLC in 2009. After this, he was also a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2016 to 2022. At one time he was considered to be Mayawati’s closest. His wealth increased rapidly after Mayawati became the Chief Minister of UP. Anand was also accused of taking a loan of crores of rupees by creating a fake company. Randhir Singh Beniwal, a resident of Saharanpur, belongs to the Jat community. His political journey has been associated with BSP for a long time. BSP’s central in-charge Randhir Beniwal was accused of acquiring property by misusing party funds. According to the allegations, Beniwal’s wealth saw an unexpected increase since he became the BSP in-charge in 2019. He was accused of buying two palatial houses in Saharanpur, a two-storey showroom on ITC Road, four expensive cars and several plots of land.
