YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia and Apoorva Makhija appeared before the National Commission for Women on March 6. The commission had summoned Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Makhija, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani for the derogatory remarks made on the show India’s Got Latent. According to PTI news, Ranveer and Apoorva expressed regret over their remarks before the National Commission for Women. The commission had taken the comments made on the show seriously. The show’s producer Saurabh Bothra, Tushar Pujari, comedian Jaspreet Singh and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s lawyers also appeared before the panel. When this episode was released on February 8, the show got surrounded by controversies. Complaints were filed in many states including Mumbai and Assam against all the people associated with the show including the panel of the show. The cyber cell took immediate action and got the controversial episode of the show deleted. Shortly after this, under the instructions of the cyber cell, Samay Raina deleted all the episodes of the show.
