On the last trading day of the week today i.e. Friday (7 March), the Sensex closed at 74,332, down 7 points. Nifty rose by 7 points, closing at 22,552. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 11 rose and 19 fell. Reliance rose 3%, Tata Motors rose 1.28% and Nestle India shares rose 0.92%. IndusInd Bank fell 3.71%, Zomato fell 3.64% and NTPC fell 2.29%. Among NSE’s sectoral indices, Nifty Media rose 1.83%, Oil & Gas rose 0.55% and Nifty Auto rose 0.24% while Nifty IT fell 0.85%, Nifty Realty fell 1.19% and Nifty Consumer Durables fell 1.02%. Decline in Asian and American markets; the market had closed with a gain of 609 points on Thursday. On the fourth trading day of the week i.e. Thursday (6 March), the Sensex closed at 74,340, with a gain of 609 points. Nifty closed at 22,544, with a gain of 207 points. Metal, pharma and oil & gas stocks rose the most. Nifty Metal and Oil & Gas indices were up by around 2.5%. Pharma and FMCG indices were up by around 1.50%. Auto and Media indices closed up by around 1%. Asian Paints, Reliance and NTPC were the top gainers of Sensex.
