Stock market expected to fluctuate this week: From inflation data, global sentiments to FII-DII flow; these factors will decide the market movement

The stock market may see volatility this week. The market will keep an eye on inflation data, IIP data, global sentiments, FII-DII flow and upcoming IPOs. Factors that will determine the market movement this week… Inflation data The market will keep an eye on Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation data and Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data. According to Union Bank of India, food inflation is likely to fall below 5% for the first time since June 2023. The bank also said that India’s retail inflation may fall further in February 2025 to below 4% mainly due to a fall in vegetable prices. Global sentiments Global sentiments improved after reports of a delay in US tariffs and the possibility of further negotiations, helping to stabilize financial markets. A weak US dollar and a fall in crude oil prices further boosted investor confidence. In the coming week, investors will keep an eye on tariff negotiations and geopolitical tensions. Due to which the US dollar and international crude oil prices may be affected. Initial Public Offering (IPO) No new issue will open in the mainboard segment this week. In the SME segment, two new issues – Super Iron Foundry Limited and Paradeep Transport Limited will open for subscription this week. The market will also keep an eye on FII-DII flow Foreign Institutional Investors i.e. FII. FII has done net selling of ? 15,501 crore in the cash segment last week. At the same time, domestic institutional investors i.e. DII invested ? 20,950 crore, which gave stability to the market. According to experts, FIIs may return to India due to improvement in earnings growth and further increase in GDP figures. Sensex rose 1.88% last week Sensex has risen 1,370 points i.e. 1.88% last week. Nifty also rose by 379.30 (1.71%) points last week. On the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday (7 March), the Sensex fell by 7 points and closed at 74,332. Nifty rose by 7 points, it closed at 22,552.
