People see the success of Panchayat but the truth is that even after 12 years of work, it is a struggle. For the last one and a half years, I have not received a call for audition from any big production house. I work with small producers who recognize my talent. The industry recognizes my work. But I still have to run after casting directors for audition. Even after ‘Highway’ and ‘Panchayat’, no big production house has given me the lead role. Everyone knows me, yet I have not received any big offer. I keep auditioning and get selected for some roles. But it is unexpected. I don’t get the credit I deserve The actor said that his films and shows get appreciated and win awards. He even gets love from the audience. But he doesn’t always get better work. It’s strange. My projects get awards but critics rarely take my name. Despite working in the industry for 25 years, I don’t get the credit I deserve. However, I am happy that the audience has appreciated my work. Let us tell you that Durgesh is a pass out from the National School of Drama. He got success with Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘Highway’ in the year 2014. Since then he has appeared in films like ‘Sultan’, ‘Sanju’, ‘Dhadak’ and ‘Bhakshak’. He started as a supporting character in Prime’s web series ‘Panchayat’ and then became the lead actor in season 3.
