Investment in equity mutual funds in February was ?29,303 crore: 26.1% less than the previous month; investment in all schemes decreased by ?1.47 lakh crore

In February 2025, an investment of Rs 29,303 crore has been made in equity mutual funds, which is 26.1% less than in January 2025. In the month of January, an investment of Rs 39,687 crore was made in equity mutual funds. According to the data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the total inflow in all types of mutual fund schemes has decreased by Rs 1.47 lakh crore. In February, a total net inflow of Rs 40,063 crore has come. In the previous month, the total net inflow was Rs 1.88 lakh crore. In January, the total asset under management (AUM) of mutual funds declined by 7% to Rs 64.53 lakh crore. It was Rs 67.25 lakh crore in January. Investments more than withdrawals for the 48th consecutive month Net inflows in open-ended equity funds have remained in the positive zone for the 48th consecutive month, meaning that investments have been more than withdrawals for the 48th consecutive month. More investments have been made in thematic/sectoral and flexi cap funds. On the other hand, monthly investment through Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) was marginally below the level of Rs 26,000 crore in February. SIP contribution in this month was Rs 25,999 crore as against Rs 26,400 crore in January. What is Mutual Fund AUM?
