West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose reached Malda on Friday. Here he met the people affected by the violence. The Governor said- I met the family members living in the camp. Earlier on Thursday, CM Mamata Banerjee had requested the Governor to postpone the visit. Mamata said- I will request the non-locals not to visit Murshidabad right now. I will appeal to the Governor to wait for a few more days. On the other hand, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is demanding imposition of President’s rule in West Bengal over the violence. VHP workers will protest across the country on Saturday. VHP President Alok Kumar said that by giving memorandum to the District Magistrates in every district headquarters across the country, we will demand that the Central Government should consider imposing President’s rule in West Bengal. The bench of Justice Soumen Sen and Justice Raja Basu Chaudhary heard the petition of Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari.
