More than 26 people including two foreign tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place in Baisaran Valley. It is 6 km away from Pahalgam city. According to media reports, the terrorists first asked the names of the tourists who had come for holidays, then opened fire and fled. Lashkar-e-Taiba has taken responsibility for the attack. Among the dead are one tourist from Italy and one from Israel, while two are local citizens. The rest of the tourists are from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
