HDFC Bank has become the third company in the country to cross the market cap of Rs 15 lakh crore. The largest private sector bank in the country crossed this figure during trading today (Tuesday, 22 April). Before HDFC Bank, only Reliance Industries and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had achieved this milestone. The market cap of Reliance Industries is Rs 17.46 lakh crore and the market cap of TCS is currently Rs 12 lakh crore. The company’s stock has given a return of 5% in the last 5 days, 9% in 1 month, 15% in 6 months and 30% in 1 year. HDFC Bank’s profit increased by 7% in the fourth quarter This rise in the shares of HDFC Bank is being seen after the fourth quarter results. From January to March 2025, HDFC Bank earned a total of ?89,488 crore. Out of this income, the bank spent Rs 62,951 crore on things like salaries of employees, electricity bills and deposits. After this, the bank was left with Rs 17,616 crore as profit. In the same period a year ago, the bank had a profit of Rs 16,512 crore. It has increased by 7% on an annual basis. The total earnings of the bank have definitely decreased by 0.17% as compared to January-March last year. But in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25, the bank’s profit has been better than the expectations of market analysts, that is, the bank did better this time. The bank will give a dividend of Rs 22 per share to the shareholders. The bank has announced a dividend of Rs 22 per share for its shareholders.
