Due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, Air India, Air India Express, Akasa Air and Indigo have waived ticket cancellation and rescheduling charges. Air India, Air India Express, Akasa Air and Indigo said through social media that keeping in mind the current situation, we are waiving the change and cancellation fees for our flights to and from Srinagar till 30 April 2025. Apart from this, Air India and Indigo will also run two special flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai on 23 April. According to the information given by Air India, the flight from Srinagar to Delhi will depart at 11:30 am. At the same time, there will be a flight from Srinagar to Mumbai at 12:00 noon. After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked the airlines to increase ticket prices and waive cancellation charges. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said through social media that while the DGCA and the Civil Aviation Ministry are working for additional flights, NH-44 between Srinagar and Jammu has been reconnected for traffic in one direction only. The Resistance Front i.e. TRF, a wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has taken responsibility for the attack. The terrorists fled after the firing.
