Recently, actor Vijay Deverakonda had said something about the tribal community, after which a police complaint was lodged against him. Now the actor has apologized while clarifying the whole matter. The actor has expressed regret over the matter by sharing a post on his ex account. Vijay writes- ‘It has come to my knowledge that some people have expressed their concern over the comment I made during the Retro Audio Launch Event. I want to honestly say that there was no intention to hurt or target any community, especially the Scheduled Tribes. I deeply respect them and consider them an integral part of our country.’ Vijay further writes that he was talking about unity among Indians in that program. ‘I was talking about unity, how India is one. Our people are one and how we should move forward together.’ He wrote, ‘In what world would I do that, while urging all of us to remain united as a country, deliberately discriminate against any group of Indians, whom I consider my family, my brothers.’ Vijay also explained what he meant when he used the word tribe. The actor writes, ‘I used the word ‘tribe’ in the historical and dictionary sense. Which describes the time centuries ago, when globally human society was organized into tribes and clans, which were often in conflict.’ In his clarification, Vijay has also explained the meaning of tribe according to the English dictionary. He said, ‘According to the English dictionary, ‘tribe’ means – ‘a social division in traditional society consisting of families or communities related by social, economic, religious or blood ties, who have a common culture and dialect. If any part of my message has been misunderstood, then I apologize from the bottom of my heart.’ What was Vijay Deverakonda’s statement? In the retro pre-release event, Vijay Deverakonda had said on the Pahalgam attack, the solution to what is happening in Kashmir is to educate the terrorists and ensure that they are not brainwashed. What will they achieve. Kashmir belongs to India, Kashmir is ours. India does not even need to attack Pakistan because Pakistanis themselves are fed up with their government.
