India took several major decisions by taking strict action against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, which included suspending the Indus Water Treaty and cancelling long term visas for Pakistani citizens. This meeting has been demanded by Pakistan, which has been approved by Greece under its presidency. Greece’s permanent member in the United Nations, Evangelos Sekeris, had told yesterday that a meeting can be held soon on the India-Pakistan issue. He had said that it is better to have it beforehand rather than late. This can reduce the tension between the two countries. India stopped the water of Chenab River After suspending the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, India stopped the water of Chenab River on Sunday. According to the report of news agency PTI, the water of Chenab has been stopped from the Baglihar Dam built in Ramban, Jammu. At the same time, there is a plan to stop the water of Jhelum River through Kishanganga Dam in Kashmir.
