More than 2.6 crore vehicles sold in FY25: Maruti sold the highest number of 1.38 lakh cars in April, Hero’s market share in two-wheeler sales is 30%

In the last financial year 2024-25, 2.6 crore vehicles were sold across the country. There has been an increase of 6.46% on an annual basis. In this, 1.88 crore vehicles were sold in the two-wheeler segment alone. It was 7.71% more than the same period last year. At the same time, in the first month of the new financial year 2025-26, April, the sale of vehicles in the country was more than 22 lakh. There has been a growth of 2.95% in this as compared to April last year. During this period, more than 16 lakh vehicles were sold in the two-wheeler category, which is 2.25% more than April 2024. The Federation of Automobile Associations (FADA) has released the sales report of vehicles sold in the financial year 2025 and April 2025. In April, Hero sold the highest number of 5.11 lakh two-wheelers. The company topped with 30% share by selling the most vehicles in this category. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki topped the passenger vehicle segment with a share of 39.44% by selling 1,38,021 cars. Commercial vehicle sales decreased by 0.17% In the financial year 2024-25, sales of vehicles in the commercial vehicle segment witnessed a decrease of 0.17%. During this period, 10,08,623 commercial vehicles were sold across the country, while 10,10,324 vehicles were sold in the previous year. Retail sales of two-wheelers increased by 7.71% Retail sales of two-wheelers have jumped by 7.71% in the year 2024-25. During this period, 1.88 crore two-wheelers were sold across the country, while 1.76 crore two-wheelers were sold in the previous year.
