Gold prices fell today i.e. on 9 May. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by ? 614 to ? 96,416. Earlier, the price of 10 grams of gold was ? 97,030. At the same time, the price of one kg silver has increased by ? 501 today to ? 95,726 per kg. Earlier, the price of silver was ? 95,225 per kg. Earlier, gold had made an all-time high of ? 99,100 on 21 April and silver had made an all-time high of ? 1,00,934 on 28 March. Always buy certified gold bearing the hallmark of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). There is a 6-digit hallmark code on gold. It is called Hallmark Unique Identification Number i.e. HUID. Cross check the correct weight of gold and its price on the day of purchase from many sources (such as the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association). The price of gold varies according to 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat. 24 carat gold is considered the purest gold, but jewellery is not made from it because it is very soft. 3. Do not make cash payment, take bill
