Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a press conference at 11 pm on Pakistan breaking the ceasefire. He said, ‘For the last few hours, the ceasefire agreement is being violated by Pakistan. The Indian Army is retaliating and dealing with the encroachment. This encroachment is highly condemnable and Pakistan is responsible for it.’ Misri said, ‘Pakistan wanted to enter the Indian border, we have given a free hand to the Indian Army.’ ‘We believe that Pakistan should understand this situation properly and take appropriate action immediately to stop this encroachment. The army is keeping a close watch on this situation and has been ordered to take concrete and strict steps to deal with any encroachment.’ The ceasefire between the two countries happened at 5 pm. Three hours later, around 8 pm, Pakistan carried out shelling and drone attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. Colonel Sophia Qureshi said that the Defense Ministry had held a press conference on Saturday evening. Colonel Sofia Qureshi from the Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Air Force and Commodore Raghu R Nair from the Navy were present. In the 9-minute briefing of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Sofia informed about the spreading of misinformation from Pakistan. Commodore Nair said that the Indian forces are fully alert and prepared. If there is an attack again, we will give a befitting reply. Now I will give you information about Pakistan’s misinformation campaign. First, it damaged our S-400 and Brahmos missile bases with its JF-17. This is absolutely wrong. It says that our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot and Bhuj have been attacked, this is also completely wrong. It is also wrong that our weapons depots in Chandigarh and Beas were attacked. We had told you in the morning that all these military facilities are completely safe, they have not suffered any damage. Pakistan is saying that India damaged mosques. India is a secular country. India’s army is a very good reflection of its values. We damaged their military infrastructure. India has caused a lot of damage to Pakistan’s airfields Skardu, Jakubabad, Sargodha and Bulari. We failed Pakistan’s air defense system, radar system. We damaged their military system. Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared. They are ready to protect India’s sovereignty and integrity. Apart from this, Pakistan’s air defense system, radar system were rendered useless. Pakistan’s command and control logistic installations and their military infrastructure and their personnel near the LoC suffered so much damage that Pakistan’s offensive and defensive capability was destroyed. I would like to reiterate that Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared and alert. They are fully dedicated to protecting India’s sovereignty and integrity. Commodore Raghu R Nair said
As the Foreign Secretary said, we have reached a consensus to stop all military operations. We have informed you about the events of the last few days. Commodore Raghu R Nair said, ‘Indian Army, Navy and Air Force are committed to protect the motherland. We are fully prepared and alert. Any audacity of Pakistan has been responded to with force, if they try to escalate tensions further, they will be given a decisive response. Foreign Secretary said – both countries stopped attacks Foreign Secretary Misri said at 6 pm on Saturday that ceasefire will be implemented from 5 pm. US President Donald Trump gave this information by tweeting at 5:30 pm on Saturday evening.
