51 hours after the ceasefire with Pakistan, PM Modi addressed the country at 8 pm on Monday. In his 22-minute speech, the Prime Minister talked about the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor, ceasefire, terrorism, Indus Water Treaty and PoK. The Prime Minister said that we have wiped out the terrorists who wiped off the vermilion of our mothers and sisters. More than 100 dreaded terrorists have been killed in our operation. The Prime Minister said that on Pakistan’s request, India has agreed to stop the conflict. India has only postponed military action against Pakistan. We will decide the future action after seeing Pakistan’s attitude. We will talk to Pakistan only on terrorism and PoK. Now read the Prime Minister’s speech in a systematic manner… Pahalgam attack The barbarity of terrorists shook the world The barbarity shown by the terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22 shook the country and the world. Killing innocent people celebrating holidays in front of their families and children is a very gruesome face of terrorism. It was also a disgusting attempt to break the harmony of the country. For me personally, this pain was very big. After this terrorist attack, the entire nation, every citizen, every society, every class, every political party stood up in one voice for strict action against terrorism. Operation Sindoor Terrorists know the consequences of removing sindoor from the forehead of daughters We have given full freedom to the Indian army to destroy the terrorists. Today every terrorist and every terror organization knows the consequences of removing sindoor from the forehead of our sisters and daughters. Operation Sindoor is not just a name, it is a reflection of the feelings of crores of people of the country. Operation Sindoor is an unbroken pledge of justice. Late night of 6 May and morning of 7 May, the whole world has seen this pledge turning into a result. Indian forces struck terror hideouts and training centers in Pakistan with precision. The terrorists had not even dreamt that India could take such a big decision. When India’s missiles attacked terror bases in Pakistan, when India’s drones attacked, not only the buildings of the terrorist organizations were destroyed but their courage was also shaken. Operation Sindoor has drawn three lines in the fight against terrorism – we have defeated Pakistan every time on the battlefield. Operation Sindoor has added a new dimension. We have proved our superiority in new age warfare. During this operation, the authenticity of our Made in India weapons was proved. The world is seeing that the time for Made in India defense equipment has come in the 21st century warfare. Terrorism The terrorist attacks across the world are linked to Pakistan. Terrorist bases like Bahawalpur and Muridke have been universities of global terrorism in a way. The major terrorist attacks that have taken place anywhere in the world, whether it is 9/11 or the London tube bombing or the major terrorist attacks in India, all of them have been linked to these terror bases. The terrorists had destroyed the sindoor of our sisters, so India destroyed these headquarters of terrorism. In these attacks, more than 100 dreaded terrorists have been killed. Many terror masters were roaming freely in Pakistan for the last two and a half decades. Those who used to conspire against India. India finished them off in one stroke. Friends, Pakistan was surrounded by deep despair due to this action of India. It was surrounded by despair. It was stunned. In this very frustration, it did another audacity, instead of supporting India’s action against terrorism, Pakistan started attacking India itself. Pakistan targeted our gurudwaras, houses, temples and schools. Pakistan targeted military bases but in this too Pakistan itself got exposed. The world saw how Pakistan’s drones and missiles scattered like straws in front of India. India’s air defense system destroyed them in the sky itself. Pakistan had prepared to attack on the border, but India attacked Pakistan on its chest. India’s drones and missiles attacked with precision. Damaged the airbase of the Pakistani Air Force, which it was very proud of. In the first three days, Pakistan was devastated to an extent that it had not even imagined. Our unity against all forms of terrorism is our biggest strength. This is certainly not the era of war, but this war is not of terrorism either. Zero tolerance against terrorism is the guarantee of a better world. The way the Pakistani army and the Pakistani government are encouraging terrorism, it will destroy Pakistan one day. If Pakistan wants to survive, it will have to destroy its terror infrastructure, there is no other way to peace. Ceasefire After being defeated, Pakistan appealed for ceasefire across the world After India’s aggressive action, Pakistan started looking for ways to survive, Pakistan was appealing across the world to reduce tension and after being badly beaten, the Pakistani army contacted our DGMO on the afternoon of 10 May due to some compulsion. By then we had caused massive damage to the terrorism infrastructure, killed the terrorists, and turned the terror bases into ruins. When Pakistan appealed, when it said that it will not show any more terrorist activities and military audacity, then India considered it. I am repeating again that we have only postponed the retaliatory action on the terrorist and military bases of Pakistan, in the coming days we will measure every step of Pakistan on the basis of what attitude it adopts in future. India’s Air Force, Army and Navy, BSF, paramilitary forces are on alert. After surgical strike, air strike, Operation Sindoor is India’s policy against terrorism. Indus Water Treaty and PoK Blood and water will not flow together India’s opinion is very clear – terror and talk cannot happen together, terror and trade cannot go together. Water and blood also cannot flow together. I will also tell the world community that our declared policy has been that if there will be talks with Pakistan, it will be on terrorism only, if there will be talks, it will be on PoK only. Buddha Purnima Strength and prosperity are necessary for peace, countrymen, today is Buddha Purnima, Lord Buddha has shown us the path of peace. The path to peace also goes through power. For humanity to move towards peace and prosperity, for every Indian to live in peace, for the dream of a developed India to be realised, it is important for India to be powerful.
