Automobile company Tata Motors has earned a net profit (consolidated net profit) of Rs 8,470 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25. It has been 51.34% less on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company’s profit was Rs 17,407 crore. The company’s revenue from operations in the January-March quarter was Rs 1.19 lakh crore. In the same quarter a year ago, Tata Motors had generated a revenue of Rs 1.18 lakh crore. It has increased by 0.53% on an annual basis. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue. Tata Motors has released the January-March quarter and annual results today on Tuesday (May 13). Tata Motors’ total income increased by 0.48% In the fourth quarter, Tata Motors’ total income increased by 0.48% on an annual basis to Rs 1.21 lakh crore. The company’s total income in the same quarter last year was Rs 1.20 lakh crore. What is there for the common man in the results? The company has announced a final dividend of Rs 6 per share for the financial year 2024-25. Companies give a part of their profits to their shareholders, this is called dividend. Consolidated profit means the performance of the entire group. The results of companies come in two parts – standalone and consolidated.
