Pakistan’s AWACS aircraft destroyed in India’s attack: Former Pak Air Chief admits – India targeted Bholari airbase with 4 Brahmos

Pakistan’s AWACS aircraft (Airborne Warning and Control System) has been destroyed in India’s attack. Pakistan had bought it from China. Pakistan’s retired Air Force Chief Masood Akhtar has admitted to losing the aircraft in India’s Operation Sindoor. In an interview to Pakistani media, Akhtar said that India has destroyed the aircraft in a precise missile attack on Bholari Airbase. He said, India fired four consecutive Brahmos missiles on Bholari Airbase on the night of 9 and 10 May. Our pilots ran to save their aircraft, but the missiles kept coming. The fourth missile fell on the hangar of Bholari Airbase, where one of our AWACS was standing. It got damaged. AWACS aircraft is used for surveillance. This AWACS aircraft of Pakistan had the capability of long-range radar surveillance and airspace control. AWACS aircraft is capable of detecting enemy aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles and other projectiles from a distance. It helps operators to identify, assess and act on threats on the ground and in the air. India’s attack on Bholari just 100 km from Karachi India targeted the Bholari airbase located less than 150 km from the Pakistani port city of Karachi. According to Indian military officials, they carried out a precise attack on an aircraft hangar. Satellite images proved India’s claim to be true.
