Severe storm in America, 21 people died: 6.50 lakh homes lost power; impact in 12 states including Kentucky and Missouri

21 people have died in the last 48 hours due to a severe storm in America. It has affected 7 states including Missouri and South-Eastern Kentucky the most. Out of 21, 14 deaths occurred in Kentucky while 7 deaths occurred in Missouri. The death toll may increase further. According to Poweroutage.US, by Saturday morning, power supply has come to a standstill in about 6.60 lakh houses in 12 states. During the storm, winds blew at a speed of 160 km per hour. The roofs and walls of many houses have blown away in the air. Cities have turned into rubble. Thousands of people have become homeless. Thousands of people have been shifted to relief camps. Tornado came due to the storm. Due to the high speed of the storm, it turned into a severe tornado. Due to this, there was more damage in these areas. According to media reports, this storm will last for several days. Heavy rains and strong winds may continue for the next few weeks. Although it is a matter of relief that the system which brought the tornado is now weakening, but there is a possibility of another severe storm near the Mexican border, due to which more than 2 crore people in south-western America may face trouble. Shortly after this, strong winds started blowing, whose speed reached up to 100 miles per hour. People have been advised to stay away from the storm-affected areas unless it is necessary.
