In April, India’s domestic air traffic has increased by 8.45% compared to the same month last year. This is the slowest growth this year. It was 8.79% in March and 11.04% in February. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation released the data today, i.e. on 21 May. A total of 143.16 lakh passengers flew in April. This number was 145.42 lakh in March. That is, the number of passengers has decreased by 2.26 lakh. This decrease is due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. After the attack, air traffic was disrupted in the northern and western states of India.
