A lady advocate of Tis Hazari court has filed a complaint against a SHO of Gurugram for rape, harassment and inhumane behaviour in Delhi. The lady advocate said that the SHO made her sit in the police station till 3 am on the pretext of interrogation. He threatened her that you are standing in Gurgaon, not in Delhi. You don’t know our strength, I will do whatever I want. Police has registered a zero FIR in Sabzi Mandi police station of Delhi. However, SHO Satyawan of Sector-50 called the allegations false. He said that the lady advocate is making fabricated and false allegations. A case of assault on a lady constable is registered against her in Gurugram. She did this to escape from that. Looking at both the cases, the Police Commissioner of Gurugram has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for investigation. In the complaint given to Sabzi Mandi police station of Delhi on 24 May, the lady advocate said- on 21 May she had gone to the women police station in Sector 51, Gurugram. She was with her client, who had come to join the case filed by his wife. When he was returning to Delhi after the investigation, his client’s wife stopped his car and started abusing him. After this, I and my client called the police on number 112. After this, he went to Sector 50 police station to register a complaint. When his client was writing the complaint, the lady constable tried to stop him. When he objected to the constable as an advocate, she took him to the SHO’s room. 3. After this, SHO asked the lady constable to leave the room. After this, she was forcibly made to sit in the police station till around 3 o’clock in the night. During this time, SHO not only behaved indecently with her, but also sexually harassed her severely. This case is of 21st May. In her complaint, the lady head constable of Sector 50 police station said that on May 21, the husband and wife were brought to the women’s police station in Sector 51 in connection with a quarrel. There, the two again quarreled. After which she brought both of them to Sector 50 police station. She was the investigating officer of this case. While she was talking to both of them, a lady advocate arrived there. She was from the husband’s side. As soon as she arrived, she slapped the wife. 2. When the lady constable stopped her, she slapped her and grabbed her throat. Seeing this, she interrupted and said that you cannot do this in the police station. This angered the lady advocate and she slapped her too. She grabbed her throat and pushed her, due to which she fell from the chair. Meanwhile, hearing the noise, the lady ASI present in the police station reached the spot. She picked her up from the floor. Then the lady advocate misbehaved with her too. 3. The lady constable further alleged that when the SHO reached the spot after hearing the noise of quarrel in the police station, the lady advocate showed off her power of being a lawyer. She also threatened to close the police station and take away the job of the SHO.
