All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has accused Pakistan of promoting terrorism. Citing the example of notorious terrorist Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, he told how he became the father of a child while imprisoned in a Pakistani jail. He said in Algeria on Saturday – A terrorist became a father while imprisoned in Pakistan. No country in the world will allow a terrorist facing terrorism charges to come out of jail, but he became the father of a son while sitting in jail. Owaisi said that when Pakistan came in the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), only then the case against Lakhvi proceeded. He appealed to the world community and FATF to put Pakistan in the gray list again, so that its activities can be curbed. Let us tell you that Owaisi is part of the all-party foreign delegation of the Modi government on anti-terrorism. Currently he is on a tour of Algeria. Killing innocent people is against the teachings of Islam Accusing Pakistan of sheltering terrorists, Owaisi said that killing innocent people is also against the teachings of Islam. He said, Pakistan has become the center of ‘Takfirism (enemy of Islam)’. There is no difference between the ideology of terrorist organizations there and the ideology of ISIS, Al-Qaeda. They believe that they have religious legitimacy, which is completely wrong. Islam does not allow killing anyone, but their ideology has become. Terrorism is a matter of the whole world Owaisi said that India and Algeria signed a defense agreement in November 2024. I am sure that this will strengthen our relations. Hopefully our Prime Minister will come to Algeria very soon and the President of Algeria will come to India. Owaisi told that in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India targeted the terrorist bases of Lashkar and Jaish under Operation Sindoor on the night of May 7. Owaisi said that anyone who takes up arms is a terrorist. Terrorism is a global issue. No place can be given to any terrorist anywhere. The all-party delegation with Owaisi is being led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda. Apart from him, Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad and former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla are also part of it. This delegation was on a tour of countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria. In Bahrain, Owaisi had said that India has demonstrated its defence capabilities. He termed Pakistan a failed country. While advocating for bringing Pakistan in the FATF grey list in Kuwait, Owaisi had said that this would curb terrorism. Pakistan was also criticised in Saudi Arabia. Owaisi had earlier criticised Pakistan in Saudi Arabia. He not only questioned Pakistan’s role in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, but also praised the strength of the Indian judicial system at that time. Owaisi said that our agencies were so capable that they recorded the conversation between the terrorists sitting in Pakistan and the terrorists who were attacking India. In these recordings, it was clearly heard that Pakistan was being told – kill as many Indians as you can, you will go to heaven. He said that India handed over strong evidence to Pakistan in this case, but the government there did not take any concrete action. Owaisi said that after the 26/11 attacks, Indian investigators also went to Pakistan and gave evidence. But there was no progress. He told, “India demanded to convict Sajid Mir in a meeting held in Germany. Then Pakistan had replied that he was dead. But when the FATF committee put pressure, Pakistan admitted that Mir was alive and then he was sentenced to 5-10 years in the money laundering case. This shows how seriously Pakistan takes terrorism cases.” ————————– Read this news too… Clash between Pakistan and Taliban over border dispute: 2.5 lakh people ordered to leave their homes; PAK’s checkpost blown up Bahram Chah, located in Afghanistan’s Helmand province, which is a border town adjacent to Pakistan’s Chagai district, has again become the center of armed conflict.
