A Pakistani citizen living on a long term visa in Goa since 2016 challenged the Indian government’s decision to cancel his visa in the Supreme Court. The visas of Pakistani citizens were cancelled after the Pahalgam terror attack. A bench of Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma said – “You go back (to Pakistan).” The lawyer said that the petitioner will go back, but he can be heard as there is a condition in the long term visa. However, the court asked why they did not go to the High Court. To this, the lawyer replied that the police had come to the petitioner. The court said that the matter will be listed for hearing later.
