Water-scarce Pakistan has demanded India to reinstate the Indus Water Treaty. According to media reports, Islamabad has sent four letters to India to reconsider this decision. According to reports, Syed Ali Murtaza, Secretary of Pakistan’s Water Resources Ministry, sent these four letters to India’s Jal Shakti Ministry, which was then sent to the Ministry of External Affairs. India suspended this treaty in April after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 Indian tourists were killed. After this, India carried out Operation Sindoor and attacked terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India has also made it clear that until Pakistan completely and reliably eliminates terrorism, this treaty will remain suspended. The Cabinet Security Committee (CCS) of the Government of India has also approved this decision. India clearly says that terror and trade cannot go together, blood and water cannot flow together. About two minutes before landing, the lander lost contact and the mission was declared a failure. Initial investigations have revealed that the laser system measuring the height of the lander did not work properly and the lander came down very fast, causing it to hit the moon with force. This was ispace’s second attempt on the moon. Earlier in the year 2022-23, the company’s first lunar mission also crashed. This lander named Resilience was 2.3 meters long and was launched from Florida (USA) in January this year. Last month it reached the orbit of the moon. For landing, a flat place was chosen in Mare Frigoris, the northern part of the moon, which is an area full of craters and old lava. Patanjali Yogpeeth-Nepal land scam- Former PM Madhav Nepal accused of corruption, no mention of Ramdev-Balkrishna in charge sheet Nepal’s anti-corruption agency on Thursday charged former Prime Minister and CPN-Unified Socialist President Madhav Kumar Nepal in a land embezzlement case involving Patanjali Yogpeeth-Nepal. The Commission for Investigation of Misuse (CIAA) has filed a case against Madhav Kumar Nepal for allegedly helping Patanjali Yogpeeth purchase land to set up a yoga center and herbal farming about 40 kilometers from Kathmandu. It names Madhav Kumar Nepal and 93 others. After the case was filed, the parliamentary membership of current MP Madhav Nepal has been suspended. According to Nepal’s law, all public officials accused of corruption are suspended until the case is fully resolved. Madhav Nepal, who was Nepal’s Prime Minister from May 2009 to February 2011, denied these allegations and said he had done no wrong. According to the chargesheet, when Madhav Nepal was the Prime Minister of Nepal, a cabinet meeting was held under his chairmanship and the land ceiling law was removed in this meeting. After this, Patanjali was allowed to buy land. Apart from this, another decision was taken two months later and this allowed Patanjali to sell land commercially. CIAA says that this caused huge losses to the country. The organization has demanded compensation of Rs 18.6 crore from Madhav Nepal. The chargesheet includes the name of Patanjali-Nepal’s founding director Shaligram Singh, but there is no mention of Patanjali chief Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna. Trump said – It would be better to let Ukraine and Russia fight a little, German Chancellor demanded to increase pressure on Russia US President Donald Trump has said that instead of starting peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, they should be allowed to fight a little. In a meeting held in the Oval Office, Trump said that he is apprehensive about the success of the peace talks. In a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump described Ukraine and Russia as two young children fighting in a park. Putin’s reaction is not clear, but it is believed that he will welcome this stance of America, as he has previously demanded that America stay away from this conflict and stop military aid to Ukraine. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz appealed to Trump to put more pressure on Russia in this meeting. Merz reminded Trump that the violence in Ukraine is the result of Russia’s invasion. He said that the German people are grateful to America for defeating Nazi Germany in World War II. Merz told Trump, “America is once again in a strong position to end the Ukraine war. We should talk about increasing pressure on Russia.” Meanwhile, Russia has threatened to respond to a bold drone attack by Ukraine. Ukraine’s security service SBU carried out a drone attack on four Russian airports last weekend, damaging 20 Russian warplanes. Russia has said that it will respond to this in its own way and time. Donald Trump and Xi Jinping had a one and a half hour phone conversation, Trump will visit China with his wife US President Donald Trump spoke to Chinese President Xi Jinping over the phone and said that he would soon visit China with his wife. Trump also invited Xi to visit the White House, but it has not been confirmed yet. The conversation took place on Thursday and it was the first call between the two leaders since the trade war began in February. Trump said on social media that trade was discussed in the one and a half hour conversation and it was positive for both countries. According to China’s state media, Xi told Trump that the US should withdraw the negative steps taken against China. Xi also said that both sides should follow the trade agreement recently reached in Geneva. In this agreement, the US reduced the tariff on Chinese products from 145% to 30%, while China reduced the tariff on US imports to 10% and promised to lift the ban on the export of important minerals. However, both countries are accusing each other of breaking the agreement. The US says China has not resumed supplies of critical minerals, while China claims the US broke the agreement by imposing new restrictions on chips. Trump said Chinese students can come to the US but they will be screened. Xi warned the US to be cautious on the Taiwan issue. China considers Taiwan as its part and has not ruled out the possibility of using force. The call has come after a long time as Trump had earlier said it is difficult to deal with Xi. China prefers to send its team for deals, while Trump himself wants to be involved in the talks. ——————————- Click here to read World Updates of June 5…
