Rahul asked- When will EC share Haryana-Maharashtra election data: Tell the date; Two days ago it was said- there was match fixing in 2024 assembly elections

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday praised the Election Commission’s decision to share data of elections held in Haryana and Maharashtra from 2009 to 2024. Rahul asked if the Election Commission could tell the date for handing over the data in digital format. Rahul asked this question through a post on X. He also shared a screenshot of a media report published on June 7, which claimed that the Election Commission had assured the Delhi High Court to share the data of voters’ list of Haryana and Maharashtra from 2009 to 2024 in early 2025. However, there has been no official statement from the Election Commission on this yet. Rahul had sought a response from the Election Commission on Saturday through his article in two daily newspapers of the country, alleging rigging in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections. Commission sources said on Sunday that it would respond only if Rahul writes a direct letter to them. Rahul had said – like Maharashtra, there will be match fixing in Bihar
Rahul Gandhi had said in his article in newspapers that – ‘match fixing’ was done in the Maharashtra assembly elections, in which every effort was made to ensure the victory of BJP in advance. BJP and its allies had made a 5-step plan to win the election. Rahul also said that like Maharashtra, match fixing will happen next time in Bihar, then in any state where BJP seems to be losing. However, the Election Commission termed Rahul’s claims as baseless and said that making such allegations after the election results are not in favor is absurd. After this, Rahul also raised questions on the way the Election Commission answered. Rahul posted on X on Saturday night and wrote, ‘You (Election Commission) are a constitutional institution. The way to answer serious questions by issuing unsigned and evasive notes is not right. If you have nothing to hide, then answer the questions given in my article and prove it.’ Rahul said – Match fixing in elections is poison for democracy What did the Election Commission say on Rahul’s allegations, in 3 points Maharashtra CM said – Rahul is giving false assurances to himself
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis rejected Rahul Gandhi’s allegations regarding the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi has accepted his defeat in Bihar. Unless he comes on the ground, unless he understands the facts, his party cannot win. He has insulted the voters of Maharashtra with his words.’ Shinde said, Congress is trying to spread a false narrative
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, ‘When the Maha Vikas Aghadi performed well in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul did not say anything. At that time EVM and Election Commission were right. Now they are trying to spread a false narrative.’ Mahayuti government was formed in Maharashtra on 23 November 2024
The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections were declared on 23 November last year. Mahayuti won 230 seats. BJP won 132, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) 57 and NCP (Ajit Pawar) 41 seats. At the same time, the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) was reduced to 46 seats. Shiv Sena (Uddhav) 20, Congress 16 and NCP (Sharad Pawar) got 10 seats. SP has won 2 seats. 10 seats went to others. Voting was held on 20 November for 288 seats of Maharashtra Assembly. There was 4% more voting in 2024 as compared to 2019. 61.4% votes were cast in 2019. 65.11% voting took place in 2024. After the Maharashtra elections, Rahul has been continuously accusing the BJP and the Election Commission. The Election Commission has responded to Rahul’s allegations several times. In April, the Election Commission had said that according to the law, the voter list is revised just before the election or once a year. The final copy of the voter list is given to all parties including Congress. Rahul has accused of rigging in Maharashtra elections thrice before. —————————- Read these news related to Rahul too… Poster war, Congress released a photo of Modi-Trump: wrote- Narendra should not have surrendered; BJP showed Rahul-Muneer together, said- One agenda, one dream.
