Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh has filed a petition in the Mansa court today demanding a ban on the broadcast of this documentary. Balkaur Singh alleges that this film titled ‘Investigative Documentary on Sidhu Moosewala’ shows unauthorized, sensitive and unpublished material, including personal testimony and comments related to the ongoing criminal investigation related to the murder. He claimed that the broadcast of this documentary can incite unrest in the public, interfere with the investigation process, and violates the legal rights of the family, privacy and dignity of the deceased. Yesterday, the team making the documentary had sought time. A legal notice has been sent to the broadcaster on behalf of Balkaur Singh. He has lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra Police and has also sent a reminder to stop the screening. While the team preparing the documentary has sought 10 days’ time to respond to the notice sent. According to sources close to the family, Balkaur Singh completed all the legal formalities on Sunday, and a decision will be taken soon after hearing the petition.
