Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant Vedika Prakash has been arrested by Mumbai Police. Vedika is accused of cheating Alia of Rs 77 lakh. According to reports, Vedika has looted lakhs of rupees from the actress’s personal and production house account for 2 years. Vedika will remain in police custody till July 10. Her search was on for about 5 months. Mumbai Police has arrested her from Bangalore. Vedika Prakash Shetty is 32 years old. She was Alia Bhatt’s personal manager for the last few years. NDTV report quoted the police as saying that Vedika looted money from Alia’s personal and production house Eternal Sunshine Production Private Limited account from May 2022 to August 2024. The matter came to light when Alia Bhatt’s mother and actress Soni Razdan filed a complaint with Juhu police in January against Vedika Prakash in a fraud case. A complaint was filed against him under sections 316 (4), 318 (4). Since then, the search for her was on. According to the police, while working with Alia Bhatt, Vedika was given the financial responsibilities of the actress. While working together, Vedika got Alia to sign many fake papers. She used to make fake invoices related to travel, meetings, event expenses, for which she used online imaging apps. Vedika also used to involve her friends in the money transactions. Vedika Prakash lives in NG Cooperative Housing Society in Mumbai. In 2024, she was removed from the post of personal manager. Apart from Alia, Vedika has been the manager of many actors.
