Legal notice to Mahesh Babu in real estate scam: He was brand ambassador of fake property, was also questioned in the money laundering case of the builder

South superstar Mahesh Babu has recently received a legal notice in a case related to a real estate scam. It is alleged that the real estate company had Mahesh Babu promote flats. Many people bought the property trusting the actor’s name, but later it was revealed that there is no such project. Mahesh Babu has been included as the third respondent in this case. Mahesh Babu has been sent a notice by the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission of Telangana after a complaint by a doctor from Hyderabad. The woman alleges that she had bought a property from Sai Surya Developers for Rs 34 lakh 80 thousand. Actor Mahesh Babu was the brand ambassador of this property. After a superstar got associated with the projects, people easily trusted the project. The woman also invested Rs 34.80 lakh in this property in Balapur. However, it was later revealed that no such project was ever started. After the fraud came to light, the woman asked for a refund, but the builders returned only Rs 15 lakh in small amounts citing financial constraints. When the builders did not return the money despite assurances, the woman filed a complaint in the consumer court. This year Mahesh Babu’s name came up in a money laundering case In April 2025, ED (Enforcement Directorate) questioned Mahesh Babu in the money laundering case related to Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. The investigation revealed that Mahesh Babu was given Rs 5.9 crore on joining the real estate company. Out of which a large amount was given in cash. Although Mahesh Babu has been questioned for investigation in both these cases, he has not been made an accused in both the cases. These days Mahesh Babu is busy shooting for an untitled film being directed by SS Rajamouli. Priyanka Chopra will also be seen with him in this film. This will be a film based on a jungle adventure.
