In a private school in Thane, Maharashtra, girls from class 5 to 10 were made to remove their clothes and were checked. The girls told their parents that blood stains were found in the school toilet. After which all the girls were called to the convention hall and pictures of this were shown on the projector. After this, the girls were asked who was having their periods right now. Fingerprints of the girls who answered yes were taken. The girls who answered no were taken to the toilet one by one and their clothes were removed and their private parts were checked. After the complaint of the parents, the police have taken the principal into custody. Parents created a ruckus in the school When the girls went home and told this to their parents, the parents gathered outside the school and created a ruckus. They were demanding the arrest of the principal. The police reached the school and took the principal into custody and took him to Shahapur police station. Lawyer Abhay Pitale reached the school on behalf of the school, but the parents threw him out of the school. The parents surrounded the lawyer and tried to beat him, but he escaped due to the alertness of the police. The police has taken the principal into custody and started the process of registering a case. The police is investigating further and is talking about taking strict action against the culprits. The Ministry of Education has issued an advisory on periods awareness Last year, the Department of School Education and Literacy, under the Ministry of Education, issued an advisory for schools during the board exams. It said that free sanitary napkins should be kept for girl students who are on periods during the 10th and 12th board exams.
