In Shivamogga district of Karnataka, a man chewed off his wife’s nose. There was a quarrel between the husband and wife over repayment of the loan. During this, the husband bit the front part of the woman’s nose in anger. The 30-year-old woman’s name is Vidya. The woman is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Shivamogga city. Vidya and her husband Vijay are residents of Mantarghatta village in Channagiri taluk of Davanagere district. On the complaint of the woman, a medico-legal case (MLC) was registered at Jayanagar police station in Shivamogga. However, the case was later transferred to Channagiri police station in Davanagere. The incident took place on the afternoon of July 8. The woman told in her complaint that she had taken a loan, for which her husband Vijay had stood surety. When she could not repay the installments, the loan lenders started harassing both Vidya and Vijay, which led to a quarrel between the couple. On the day of the incident, during the argument, a scuffle broke out with the husband, due to which the woman fell on the ground. During this, husband Vijay bit the front part of her nose. Local people intervened and took the injured woman to Megan Hospital in Shivamogga. From there, the woman was transferred to a private hospital. Police are investigating the matter. Deputy director had bitten engineer’s nose in Kanpur Earlier in May, a similar case came to light in Kanpur, UP, when the deputy director bit the nose of a retired engineer with his teeth. The reason was that someone had parked a car in his parking lot. Seeing this, the deputy director got furious. He called the engineer and said – you are the secretary of the society, what are you looking at? After this, both of them had an argument.
