Singer Amaal Malik has recently given a strange statement on the #MeToo allegations on his uncle Anu Malik. He has said that there must be some truth in these allegations. The singer has also told that he had to face embarrassment due to these allegations on uncle Anu Malik. Siddharth Kannan had asked Amaal Malik in the middle of the interview that when Anu Malik was accused of #MeToo, did you talk to him. In response to this, Amaal said, ‘No, I think I did not even support him. I said that this is not my problem because he is not my family.’ When he was asked whether he felt embarrassed when the allegations were made on Anu Malik. On this, Amaal said, ‘Obviously. Very much. My relationship with him was not like it should have been, so I do not know that person. I do not know whether he did this or not, but obviously there is Sona, there is Shweta Pandit, many people have raised their voices, so there must be some truth in it. Otherwise why would people come and say this.’ Amaal Malik has also told that his father Daboo Malik also believed that the allegations against Anu Malik are true. Amaal told that his father had said- ‘There is no smoke without fire. 4-5 people cannot come and say anything about anyone. No one must have asked them to gang up. Many people, many composers and many musicians have said in MeToo. One day my father also asked whether your name will also come up. So I told him that I have never talked like this with anyone. Nor have I made anyone feel that if you give me a physical favor, I will give you a song. I am not such a person. I just mind my own business.’ Let us tell you that Amaal Malik’s father Daboo Malik and Anu Malik are brothers. For the past few years, the relationship between the two families is not good.
