He said during an AI event in Delhi that sooner or later, we will have to use AI as an employee or CFO. Sharma admitted that AI will do many tasks of humans in the coming time, but at the same time it will also create new types of jobs and roles. AI will also generate new jobs Vijay Shekhar Sharma admitted that AI will automate many routine jobs, due to which some people will lose their jobs. But he also said that like every technology change, AI will also bring new jobs and roles, especially in fields like data science, machine learning and intelligent systems. Giving the example of STD-PCO business, Sharma said that just like mobile-internet replaced them, similarly change is also certain to come from AI. Paytm will also become an AI-first company Sharma said that Paytm no longer wants to remain just a fintech company, but is moving towards becoming an AI-first company. The company is rapidly incorporating AI in its routine business processes. Sharma said, we need to learn to use AI not just as a tool, but as a co-worker or executive. Paytm will bring new AI features Paytm is bringing AI-powered passbook feature for its users, in which a rap song will be generated by taking data of the user’s monthly expenses. Sharma informed that this feature will be launched soon, which will make finance management fun. Earlier, Paytm had also added AI search feature in its app in collaboration with US-based AI startup Perplexity. Paytm was started in 2009 Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications launched the Paytm payment app in August 2009. Its founder is Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Currently, Paytm has more than 30 crore users in the country. The market cap of Paytm is around Rs 28 thousand crore.
