Bengaluru: Bangladeshi youth accused of shouting “Allah-hu-Akbar” in a temple; police say he also desecrated the idol; locals tied him to a pole and beat him.

A Bangladeshi national has been arrested for allegedly desecrating an idol at a temple in Devarabisanahalli village, Bengaluru. The accused, identified as Kabir Mandal (45), a cobbler, is alleged to have been living in Bengaluru illegally. According to police, Kabir entered the temple drunk on Tuesday morning and desecrated an idol while wearing his shoes. Locals claim the accused also shouted “Allah Hu Akbar.” This enraged locals and temple staff. They caught the accused, tied him to a pole, and beat him. Police arrived at the scene and detained the accused, and the investigation is ongoing.
