On Thursday, opposition BJP MLAs clashed with NC MLAs in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. As soon as the House began, BJP leaders stood up and demanded the suspension of Question Hour. They demanded a half-hour discussion on the flood-affected areas of Jammu. However, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather urged the BJP MLAs to allow Question Hour to continue. BJP members refused and stuck to their demand. As the uproar escalated, BJP MLA from Kishtwar, Shagun Parihar, attempted to enter the well of the House, but was stopped by female watch and ward staff. Two BJP MLAs, RS Pathania and Surinder Kumar, who jumped into the well, were then ejected by marshals. The BJP MLAs remained in the House throughout Question Hour and later boycotted it. There was uproar on Wednesday as well. The Omar government is preparing to pass four important bills related to tenancy reform, Panchayati Raj, labor welfare, and cooperatives. The House also witnessed uproar on Wednesday when a bill was introduced to increase the age limit of the State Election Commissioner from 65 to 70 years. 4 bills to be introduced in the House
