You can add up to four nominees to your bank account: Toll payments via UPI are cheaper, commercial cylinder prices have dropped by up to ₹6.50; 6 major changes in November

This November, six major changes are taking place. These include changes to bank nomination rules, a reduction in commercial gas cylinder prices, and new FASTag rules. Furthermore, there’s also a change related to AI. Starting November 4th, Indian users will receive a free subscription to ChatGPT Go. A Gemini Pro subscription is also available for free. Six major changes taking place this month… 1. You can now add four nominees to your bank account, instead of just one. You can also decide how much each of the four nominees will receive. The new rules come into effect on November 1, 2025. The Finance Ministry stated on October 23rd that this change will simplify and make the banking claims and inheritance process more transparent. Nominees can be changed or canceled at any time. A nominee is someone designated by the account holder so that upon their death, the account balance or assets can be transferred to them without lengthy legal procedures. 2. New Aadhaar Update Charges The Indian government’s UIDAI has waived the ₹125 fee for biometric updates on children’s Aadhaar cards. This fee will be free for one year. 3. ChatGPT Go Subscription Free for One Year OpenAI is making its ChatGPT Go subscription plan free for one year in India. This offer will be active for Indian users from November 4, 2025. Currently, this subscription costs ₹399 per month in India. This means users will benefit ₹4,788 annually. This ChatGPT plan allows for more chats and image creation. ChatGPT Go is OpenAI’s mid-level premium plan. The company says that India is its second largest and fastest-growing market. 4. Two New Fastag Rules Vehicles whose Fastag has not yet undergone the required Know Your Vehicle (KYV) verification may be deactivated. However, the National Highway Authority of India is providing a grace period by sending reminders through banks to prevent the service from being discontinued immediately. Users will now only need to upload a front photo of their number plate and Fastag for KYV. A side photo is not required. This will simplify the verification process. Another change related to Fastag relates to the new toll penalty system, which will be implemented from November 15, 2025. Those paying for vehicles without Fastag using UPI will have to pay 1.25 times the standard toll fee. If you pay by cash, you will be charged double the previous amount. 5. Failure to submit a life certificate could result in a pension being withheld. Retired central and state government employees receiving a pension must submit this year’s Life Certificate to the nearest bank branch by the end of November. Employees who wish to switch from the National Pension System (NPS) to the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) must also complete this process by the end of November. 6. Commercial cylinder prices reduced by Rs 6.50 From today, the 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 6.50. In Kolkata, its price has reduced by Rs 6.50 to Rs 1694. Earlier it was available for Rs 1700.50. Whereas in Chennai, it will now be available for Rs 1750, cheaper by Rs 4.50.
