As part of the anti-terrorism operation in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, villagers are now being trained. On Tuesday, the Army trained 150 Village Defense Guards (VDGs) from 17 villages in the upper reaches of the Chenab Valley, including women volunteers. Army officials stated that the participants are from villages along the Doda-Chamba border. They are being trained in weapon handling, military tactics, self-defense, bunker construction, and thwarting enemy attacks. These villages are located near forests and hilly areas, where security forces are conducting frequent search operations following suspected terrorist activity. The training is taking place in Shingini Panchayat in the Bhalessa area, about 90 kilometers from Doda. 4 photos of the Village Defense Guards’ training… Volunteers will protect villages from terrorists.
