Starc moves up to No. 2 in Test rankings, Bumrah tops: Harry Brooke gains three places among batsmen, Rohit and Kohli top two in ODIs

Australia and England’s pacers have gained in the ICC rankings released on Wednesday. Following his impressive performance in the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne, Australia’s left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc has risen to second place in the Test bowlers’ rankings. Starc now has 843 rating points, trailing India’s No. 1 pacer Jasprit Bumrah (879 points), 36 points behind the No. 1 ranked pacer. A total of 36 wickets fell in the Melbourne Test, 35 of which were taken by fast bowlers. This has resulted in significant gains for Australia and England’s pacers. England’s Harry Brook climbed three places to second among Test batsmen with 846 points. Brook surpassed Australia’s Steve Smith (811 points), Travis Head (816 points), and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson (816 points). He trails Joe Root (867 points) for the top spot.
