Fast bowler Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2026. He suffered a knee injury during the warm-up match against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on February 4. Following consultation with a doctor and scans, the BCCI medical team declared him unfit for the tournament. Pacer Mohammed Siraj has replaced Harshit Rana in the squad. Siraj returns to the Indian team after 556 days. He last played a T20 match against Sri Lanka on July 30, 2024. The tournament, being played in India and Sri Lanka, begins on February 7. Defending champions India will play their first match against the USA on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In these matches, he has scored 57 runs and taken 9 wickets. Meanwhile, there are doubts about the fitness of spin all-rounder Washington Sundar, adding to India’s problems. India defeated South Africa by 30 runs in the warm-up match. In this warm-up match, Ishan Kishan played an innings of 53 runs in 20 balls.
