Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Israel on Wednesday for a two-day visit. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, received Modi at the airport. He addressed the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, where he was presented with the Parliament’s highest honor, the Speaker of the Knesset Medal. Addressing the Knesset, Modi condemned the Hamas attack on Israel. He said, “We understand your pain, India has long suffered from terrorism.” He also stated that India stands with Israel. Netanyahu, in his address, said, “Modi is like a brother to me, holding a special place in my heart.” He described Modi as the “Lion of Asia” and a respected leader of the world. Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset.
