Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal offered prayers at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place, Delhi. He was accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and other leaders. A day earlier, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court had acquitted 23 people, including Kejriwal and Sisodia, in the CBI case related to the Delhi liquor policy. Kejriwal also held a press conference at the AAP office yesterday evening. He stated that PM Modi and Amit Shah conspired against him. “When they couldn’t defeat the AAP, they set out to destroy it,” he said. “I have earned only honest money in my life, and this has been proven in court.” The allegation is that a scam occurred in the 2021-22 excise policy in Delhi. During Kejriwal’s government, irregularities occurred in the granting of licenses and setting margins in the new liquor policy, which benefited some private businesses. The policy was later withdrawn. The accused in the CBI case have been acquitted. The chargesheet contained contradictions that undermine the entire theory of the alleged conspiracy. The court also ordered a departmental inquiry against the CBI’s investigating officer (IO). Regarding the excise policy: There was no overarching conspiracy or criminal intent in the formulation of the excise policy. The prosecution’s (CBI) case does not stand judicial scrutiny. The CBI attempted to fabricate a conspiracy theory, but its theory was based on mere conjecture rather than concrete evidence. Regarding Kejriwal: Kejriwal’s name was linked without any concrete evidence. When the case involves a person holding a constitutional position, making accusations without solid evidence is against the principles of law. Regarding the main accused, Kuldeep Singh: While acquitting the main accused, it was stated that it was surprising why he was named as the first accused, despite the lack of concrete evidence against him. Regarding Manish Sisodia: Sisodia was accused of being responsible for formulating and implementing the liquor policy, but the court stated that no evidence of his involvement was found, nor were any recoveries made against him. Kejriwal stated, “I have earned only respect and honesty in my life.” On Friday, Kejriwal stated that he had earned respect and honesty in his life. He had not earned a single penny, and these people wanted to harm that very thing. Therefore, they hatched a conspiracy. Today, the court clarified that Kejriwal, Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and the Aam Aadmi Party are staunch advocates of honesty. “My family suffered greatly because of this conspiracy,” he said.
